Yay, I got an offer to translate Terry Pratchett’s Nation into Russian!
Crisis or no crisis, people still read good books.
OMG PONIES!!! RAINBOWS!!! PUPPIES!!! HORRIBLY ENVY EXPERIENCED BY SPATULA!!! I love Terry Pratchett. Getting to translate him for money is how I envision Nirvana.
This is almost no money. Think $600 for a book. But I am so happy I would probably be willing to pay that amount myself for the honour.

Russian Course: Part Two by Lipson, Alexander published by Slavica - the best Russian textbook ever. The author deliberately tells simple stories making surreal fun of Soviet propaganda cliches and combining the satirical absurdity with elegant grammatical analysis. What other textbook will teach you how to say, "Comrade director, nobody loves me. Nobody understands me. I'm alone. I'm alone"?
